Manchester City injury news ahead of the Premier League game with Bournemouth on Sunday
Manchester City will welcome Erling Haaland and Rodri back into the squad for the Premier League visit of Bournemouth on Sunday.
City recovered from going a goal down to Championship side Swansea City in midweek to win 3-1 and set up a quarter-final tie against Brentford in the Carabao Cup.
The Blues will be hoping to bounce back from last weekend's Premier League defeat to Aston Villa with three points that will lift them above Bournemouth in the table .
Here's the injury latest ahead from the Etihad:
Erling Haaland
Injury: Knock
The Norwegian collided with the post at Villa Park having turned home Marmoush's low cross before the goal was ruled out for offside. He got up gingerly and was able to finish the game, and Guardiola confirmed Haaland will be fit for the weekend.
Potential return date: Bournemouth (H) November 2
Rodri
Injury: Hamstring
Rodri had hoped to be fit for the Premier League game with Everton earlier this month, having sat out international duty to try and recover from the hamstring injury that he felt in the opening minutes against Brentford.
He will come into the squad for the visit of Bournemouth but is not expected to start.
Potential return date: Bournemouth (H) November 2
Mateo Kovacic
Injury: Unknown
The midfielder has yet to start for City this season and missed his latest chance to do so when not involved at Swansea. The Croatia international was described as not fully fit, having only recently returned to the fray following Achilles surgery in the summer. "We'll see," was Guardiola's assessment of Kovacic when asked whether the 31-year-old was available to face Bournemouth.
