Ahead of Liverpool's game against Manchester City in the FA Cup this weekend, Arne Slot was boosted by the return to training of four senior stars, including Alexander Isak

Liverpool returns to action this weekend as the Reds travel to Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
The Reds have endured a disappointing season after winning the Premier League last term, but they remain in contention to win two trophies this season.
Next week sees Liverpool face Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final, but first the Reds have a trip to the Etihad Stadium to contend with.
Here are a few things we picked out from Liverpool's training session on Thursday...
Isak's back
Arne Slot confirmed earlier this week that Isak would return to training on Thursday, and sure enough he was pictured training alongside his teammates at the AXA Training Center.

It was immediately apparent that he had done some serious damage and would be out for some time, so it is a boost for Liverpool ahead of a crunch couple of weeks that the Swede is on the brink of a first-team return.
Frimpong, Salah and Chiesa all train
The Reds look to have been handed another fitness boost on top of the Isak boon, after Jeremie Frimpong also took part in training.
Frimpong has endured a frustrating first season on Merseyside, which has seen him miss a big chunk of games, and he suffered another setback as he was substituted during the Netherlands' draw with Ecuador on Tuesday.

Frimpong was only introduced as a half-time substitute against Ecuador but lasted just a few minutes before exiting proceedings.
He looked to be in good spirits in Liverpool training on Thursday, though, which suggests a return to the team against City is on the cards.
Mohamed Salah and Federico Chiesa – neither of whom traveled on international duty – also took part in training.
Slot watches on
One picture from the session shows Salah shooting at goal, with Arne Slot watching on in the background.
It's a poignant picture considering what has happened between the pair this season – particularly over the last couple of weeks, with Salah announcing he will leave the club in the summer.

Slot paid tribute to Salah this week, saying that he hopes the Egyptian can sign off with silverware.
"Hopefully he can make his legacy even more special in the upcoming weeks and months where we still play for something special," Slot said. "But he will always leave this club as a legend because, as I said, the way this club has performed in the last seasons is also for a large part due to what he's done for it."
As for Slot, he faces an uncertain future of his own as he wrestles to show why he should remain Liverpool's head coach next season after a disappointing second campaign in charge.
