Jeremie Frimpong's priceless reaction as Hugo Ekitike sent off in historic blunder

Hugo Ekitike scored what appeared to be a late winner against Southampton in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night and took his shirt off in celebration - only to receive a second yellow card seconds later and be sent off.

It was a moment of madness for Ekitike, who calmly slotted home from close range after Federico Chiesa put the ball on a plate for him. The Frenchman took his shirt off before turning it around and showing the nameset to the crowd, but Frimpong quickly raced over to tell him what he'd done.

The right-back was seen holding his hands out while talking to Ekitike, telling him what he'd done as the forward prepared to receive his marching orders. Ekitike was only brought on at half-time, replacing Alexander Isak - who scored his first goal for the club late in the first half.
