Liverpool has just 23 more days to wait until the new season kicks off. Arne Slot's side will be taking on Bournemouth at Anfield in its Premier League opener in the middle of next month.
Before then, it will face AC Milan and Yokohama Marinos in Asia, and then return for a double-header against Athletic Club, and the Community Shield at Wembley against Crystal Palace, making the next couple of weeks very busy. And behind the scenes, training is being ramped up ahead of the return of competitive soccer.
Here is what Liverpool.com spotted in training, with the club releasing plenty of content in various forms in the last few days. Earlier on Wednesday, a session was undertaken at Kai Tak Sports Park, where the weekend's game against Milan will be held.
Conor Bradley sharp
There is going to be plenty of competition for places across the Liverpool team. But arguably one of the closest battles could be at full-back, where Conor Bradley and Jeremie Frimpong both have real quality.
With Trent Alexander-Arnold having moved on to sign for Real Madrid, Liverpool will have to find a different way of using its full-backs. And along with the signing of Milos Kerkez, too, the emphasis will change.
In the clips put out by Liverpool so far this summer, Bradley has looked very sharp. In one video, he was shuttling around stealing balls back and decisively finishing into the small goals being used for one training exercise.
As Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz proved last season as they battled for a spot on the left wing, having multiple quality options for one role usually means both players are driven to reach their best levels. At right-back, that appears to be the case.
Liverpool legends spotted
Standing on the sidelines and taking in the session were Kenny Dalglish and Ian Rush, with Mohamed Salah heading over to have a chat at one point. Rush's scoring record, of course, is one that the Egyptian would love to better.
Dalglish and Rush were alongside Liverpool CEO Billy Hogan on the running track surrounding the grass, with Salah going over to shake their hands at one point. Perhaps at some stage in the future, it will be Salah watching over the next generation.
New signings settle in
Kerkez, Frimpong, and Florian Wirtz all appear to have settled into their new surroundings well. For them, the Asia tour will offer an insight into just how big Liverpool is all over the world.
This summer will also provide the ideal opportunity for Slot to drill into his new players exactly what he wants to see from them. In Wirtz, in particular, he has a star around which his plan could revolve for years to come.
Hugo Ekitike, it is thought, will join up with Liverpool once his transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt has been completed. And there could be more signings to come, too, as an exciting period continues.
Transfer decisions coming
Liverpool does not just want to see players coming in, of course. Funding those deals and making space for them will be several relatively high-profile exits.
Harvey Elliott and Darwin Nunez, for instance, are both likely to depart and will command substantial fees. They, and Tyler Morton, are all on the Asia tour but could move on, while Federico Chiesa was left at home and could also exit.
Having already made a transfer profit of around $57 million (£42 million) last summer and then sold a further $81 million (£60 million) or so worth of players this year, Liverpool could still bring in around $270 million (£200 million) before September 1 on top of that.
For now, though, the players who could leave might as well remain with the group. Decisions, however, are coming.
Relaxed atmosphere
Away from the training field, Liverpool's players have been enjoying games of Uno (Jeremie Frimpong was the winner of one game, beating Ryan Gravenberch in a game refereed by Dominik Szoboszlai). The squad will be relishing the extra time together.
Fans in Asia have serenaded Wataru Endo as often as possible, while Slot and his squad took a stroll around their new surroundings when they arrived in Hong Kong. The training sessions will increase in intensity soon, but they are being undertaken with a smile and with plenty of vigor.
After a longer summer than usual, Liverpool is set to click back into gear. And when it takes to the field on Saturday against Milan, the next glimpse of what might happen next should be on offer.
