AD FEATURE: Tottenham 2025/26 season preview: odds, prediction and transfers so far

A new era dawns for Tottenham Hotspur as they prepare for the return of Premier League football this weekend.

Spurs have new manager Thomas Frank at the helm who will be looking to enjoy a successful debut campaign in North London following his arrival from Brentford. Last season saw Tottenham endure a difficult campaign domestically but enjoyed major success with the victory in the Europa League final.

Tottenham have already been busy in the transfer market this summer, with Mohammed Kudus arriving from West Ham and Mathys Tel completing a permanent switch from Bayern Munich.

Spurs begin their season on Saturday at home to newly-promoted Burnley (3pm kick-off). Bookmakers bet365 believe Tottenham will enjoy a successful campaign, and could they climb into the top five?

Tottenham are listed as 5/1 to finish in the top four, which would be enough to qualify for the Champions League, and 50/1 to be Premier League champions this term.

The view from our Head of Football Lee Wilmot

"Tottenham are going to be hard pushed to have a worse season than last year - in the Premier League at least. With a new head coach in place, the goal is simple - to challenge on all fronts. Spurs prioritised the Europa League last season and it worked, to the detriment of the Premier League.

"Spurs got back into the Champions League by virtue of that Europa League triumph and qualifying for Europe’s top tier competition will be on the agenda, this time through the league.

"However, top four looks like a long shot, given how Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea have strengthened, but you can get 5/1 on that happening and given how Thomas Frank sets his teams up, it might be a good outside bet.

"Spurs need to do some more business in the transfer market, however, with a new No.10 imperative. Sign someone in that department and with Mohammed Kudus at the club, Dominic Solanke should have a much better season and he is 25/1 to win the Golden Boot."
