Thomas Frank has faced scrutiny for a difficult start to life at Tottenham with Alan Shearer believing his time at the club could be up as early as this weekend
Alan Shearer has issued a Thomas Frank sack prediction and provided a verdict on Tottenham's newest signing Conor Gallagher. The 25-year-old signed a five-and-a-half year contract upon his arrival from Atletico Madrid in £34.7million deal.
Frank will be desperately hoping he can have an immediate impact with Spurs winning just one of their last seven games and sitting fourteenth in the Premier League table. Pressure on Frank's job has arrived as a result with Shearer making it clear what he think may happen if Tottenham lose to West Ham United this weekend.
Speaking to Betfair, he said: "It is a huge game for Spurs and Thomas Frank on Saturday. Their second half performance against Aston Villa was a lot better last week and they have to take that into the game this weekend right from the off.
"I'd fear the worst for Thomas Frank if West Ham go to Spurs and win. They have just bought in a Conor Gallagher who is a good signing for Spurs with his know-how, experience and energy. It's a really clever signing and I believe other clubs were in for him as well so whatever they've done to nip ahead, it's a good signing.

"However, they do need more. Maybe that's part of Gallagher's thinking in coming back to the Premier League at a big club to help his case to get back into the England squad for the World Cup. If he shines between now and the end of the season then I guess the World Cup is in his thoughts, absolutely.
"Conor will probably also think that he'll be up against some top-class opposition and that will be very, very difficult to budge the likes of Elliott Anderson, Declan Rice and Adam Wharton.
"Gallagher will have to be absolutely magnificent right from the off to budge any of those guys out and whether that can be done or not, I'm not sure."
And Spurs' new midfielder could go straight into the starting XI with Rodrigo Bentancur ruled out for at least three months after undergoing hamstring surgery.
Richarlison is another long-term absentee with an issue in the same area and Mohammed Kudus is another expected to miss a significant period.
When confirming the latter's injury diagnosis, Frank said: "Mohammed, unfortunately, is a bigger one to the tendon in the quad. That is one where we expect him back after the March international break.
On Richarlison, speaking before the visit of West Ham, he revealed: "Richy, unfortunately, got a hamstring injury, which will keep him out for up to seven weeks.'
Given the two attacking injuries, Brennan Johnson would have almost certainly been handed more minutes but he was sold to Crystal Palace earlier in the window.
Though Spurs are in turmoil at the moment, a nightmare scenario has began to emerge at Selhurst Park with Oliver Glasner announcing he will be leaving at the end of the season and that club captain Marc Guehi has played his final game for the club and is set to join Manchester City.
