Alejandro Garnacho sends Chelsea message and makes Man United feelings clear

Alejandro Garnacho says he is loving being part of the Chelsea side following his departure from Manchester United.

The Argentina international made a permanent switch to Chelsea during the summer transfer window, with the Blues agreeing a £40million deal with United. He has made five appearances for Enzo Maresca's side, but is yet to score his first goal or get an assist.

Garnacho expressed a desire to leave United earlier in the summer, with Chelsea expressing an interest in bringing the 21-year-old to Stamford Bridge to strengthen their forward options.

Saturday night saw Garnacho play a pivotal role in Chelsea's 2-1 triumph over Liverpool in the Premier League, where Moises Caicedo and Estevao Willian were on the score sheet. The victory came on the same day that Man United beat Sunderland at Old Trafford, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Following Chelsea's victory over Liverpool, Garnacho took to social media the next day to share a message. His post affirmed that he is relishing his time at Stamford Bridge since deciding to depart from Old Trafford.

"What an amazing atmosphere," Garnacho said in a post on Instagram to his 11.6 million followers. "It’s good to be here, what a week blues!"

Garnacho was part of the Chelsea squad that travelled to to Old Trafford to take on United earlier this season.

The forward was an unused substitute as the Blues lost 2-1 to the Red Devils, in a game that saw Chelsea have Robert Sanchez sent off in the opening five minutes.

As Garnacho warmed up on the touchline, he was met with a frosty reception from the home crowd at Old Trafford. Chelsea and Garnacho's next opportunity to face off against United could come if they draw the Red Devils in the FA Cup in the New Year or during the Premier League showdown at Stamford Bridge in April.

Chelsea can end the 2024/25 Premier League season on a high, but it is never quiet at Stamford Bridge and the summer looks set to be one full of news, with Enzo Maresca looking for transfer to bolster his squad.
