Alexander Isak registered his first Premier League goal for Liverpool – and only his second in all competitions – during Liverpool's game away to West Ham.
The Sweden international has had a tough time since moving to Anfield from Newcastle, but displayed brilliant technique as he gave his team the lead at the London Stadium.
Upon receiving a cutback from Cody Gakpo, Isak produced a pinpoint first-time finish that Alphonse Areola could not keep out.
Isak had looked sluggish in the first half, but his finish was that of a striker with bags of quality in his locker – and that is why Liverpool parted with a huge sum to sign him in September.
Former West Ham goalkeeper Rob Green was on duty for Sky Sports at the London Stadium and gave his verdict on the strike.
"It's a big goal for Liverpool, an even bigger goal for Alexander Isak," Green said. "A moment of quality, an instinctive finish."
Ex-Premier League striker Clinton Morrison also praised Isak for the goal, telling the BBC: “Brilliant from Isak. Once Gakpo cuts it back, the finish from Isak is outstanding. It's on the half volley, and it's brilliant the way he's controlled it. It was only a matter of time.”
