Alexander Isak has been pictured arriving at the AXA Training Centre for the first time as a Liverpool player after sealing a $169 million (£125 million) move from Newcastle on transfer deadline day.
The saga of the summer came to an end on the first day of September. But having been on strike in a bid to force through an exit, Isak has missed most of pre-season and will take some time to get up to speed.
Immediately after his switch to Liverpool was confirmed, Isak jetted off to play for Sweden. During the international break, he sat out a draw with Slovenia and then came on for around 20 minutes in a defeat to Kosovo.
Now, Isak is back on Merseyside, where he will continue to get back up to full match sharpness. He was photographed outside the training ground on Wednesday.
Isak met some of his new teammates, including Stefan Bajcetic, and had already spoken to Jeremie Frimpong on the day that his medical examinations took place.
"I feel amazing," Isak told the club website when his transfer was completed. "It’s been a long journey to get here, but I’m super-happy to be a part of this team, this club and everything it stands for.
"It’s something I’m proud of and I’m really looking forward to it. I’m just happy it’s done and that I can get back to work. I’m looking forward to seeing my teammates and the fans, and getting back out there."
Isak had interest from elsewhere but only had eyes for Liverpool, who had to be patient to secure his signature after convincing Newcastle that it could sell.
"Getting the chance to be a part of this, I want to create history," Isak added. "I want to win trophies. That’s ultimately the biggest motivation for me.
"I feel like this is the perfect place for me to grow even further and to take my game to the next level and help the team as well.

"I feel like this is the next step for me in my career. I’m super-happy that I’ve been given this chance and I’m very motivated to do something well with it.
"It has been a long summer but I’m just looking forward, not looking at the past. It’s done now and I know I can get back to doing what I love the most. I'm really looking forward to it."
Liverpool.com says: Isak is going to take a while to get up to full speed, but we should see a fair bit of him off the bench over the next few weeks. He won't start at Burnley but he could be involved.
