Sweden's manager Graham Potter has disclosed that Liverpool forward Alexander Isak is targeting a return to fitness in time for the international break in March.
The striker sustained a leg fracture during an away win over Tottenham in December. The unfortunate injury happened just after Isak had netted a superb goal in London, resulting in him getting entangled with Spurs defender Micky van de Ven.
Since then, the 26-year-old has been out of action due to his injuries and has undergone surgery for both an ankle injury and a fibula fracture. However, recent images shared by Liverpool depict him training alone at the club's AXA Training Centre.

These pictures offer the most substantial indication yet that he will make a comeback for the club before the season concludes. Potter is eager to have both Isak and Spurs forward Dejan Kulusevski fit for Sweden's World Cup qualifier against Ukraine on March 26.
The former Chelsea manager suggested there's a chance both players could recover in time, telling Fotboll Direkt: "I hope they (Isak and Dejan Kulusevski) can play.

"But these are big injuries. It's tough to come back from injuries like that by March, but there's a chance.
"Yes, I have spoken to both of them. They are on their way back and are optimistic. They are working very hard at home in the club team in an attempt to play with us in March."
Yet Slot's latest comments on Isak's injury painted a less encouraging picture than Potter's.
Slot stated: "He's not even on the pitch yet.
"He's just out of his walker. So that tells you that he's not on the pitch yet and not expected on the pitch today or tomorrow in terms of his recovery work. It's going to take a while before he's back – as we knew."
Isak will be desperate to get back onto the pitch and kick-start his Liverpool career. The Swede earned a move to Anfield after three outstanding seasons at Newcastle, scoring 62 goals in 109 games to establish himself as one of Europe's top strikers.
Yet Isak, who did not play for Newcastle during the summer, endured a slow start to his Liverpool career.
He scored just three goals in his first 16 appearances for the Reds before suffering his injury.
