Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has been linked with a move to Real Madrid again this week, but the player's father has spoken out to insist that his son is happy at Anfield.
Twenty-seven-year-old Mac Allister has long been linked with a move from Liverpool to Spain before and in December 2024, he told AS that it would be something for him to consider at some point later on in his career.
"It's a country (Spain) I like a lot and I’ve visited it several times, and, above all, because of the language and the culture, it’s very similar to Argentina," the ex-Brighton ace said.

But right now, I’m very comfortable at Liverpool and I don’t think about what might happen in the future."
Links with Real Madrid have lingered ever since. Mac Allister has around two and a half years left on his Liverpool contract.
"What I can say at the moment is that Alexis is focused on Liverpool and the current season," his father told WinWin this week. "Alexis is very happy and very comfortable with Liverpool."

Mac Allister, like Liverpool as a whole, has failed to reach top form this season. He expressed his frustrations in an interview last month.
"There are not many chances of Liverpool retaining the title," Mac Allister told Sky Sports. "I hate to say it, but it is quite clear.
"Arsenal is in a really good moment, Manchester City is quite close, but we are not close in terms of performances or results, so I do not see us becoming champions again.
"It hurts because this should be a moment when we are enjoying the Premier League, which we won, and we should be in a much better place than we are.

"So it hurts. Many things have changed from last season and it is not ideal, but that is the situation we are in and we have to face it and keep working to get better."
Mac Allister is likely to start for Liverpool as the Reds take on Manchester City this weekend. By the time that game kicks off, Manchester United and Chelsea — the two other main contenders for the Champions League places — will have faced Spurs and Wolves respectively.
Liverpool.com says: Mac Allister is definitely the kind of player (style and quality-wise) that Real Madrid would be interested in. Along with the likes of Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai, Liverpool might need to think about a new contract soon.
