A consortium represented by Amanda Staveley will continue to monitor events at Tottenham Hotspur and is not ruling out making another approach to buy the club from ENIC next year.

On Saturday, it emerged that two different consortia began talks with Tottenham regarding a takeover of the club.

The report revealed that one of them was PCP International Finance Limited, headed by former Newcastle United chief Amanda Staveley.

This was later confirmed by the North London club, with Spurs stating on Sunday that they rejected two approaches to buy a stake in the club, one from PCP and another from Firehawk Holdings Limited, led by Dr Roger Kennedy and Wing-Fai Ng.

Amanda Staveley’s consortium responds after seeing approach rejected by Tottenham

According to The Times, PCP has now said that it does not intend to make an offer for Spurs but “reserves the right under the Takeover Code to re-enter negotiations if another party makes a formal offer — or if it is invited to renew talks by the club.”

The consortium represented by Staveley will continue to monitor the events at Spurs before deciding whether to make another approach next year.

The report explains that under the Takeover Code, PCP cannot make another offer for Spurs for the next six months.

However, ENIC could invite them back to the negotiating table before that, or the six-month window could be set aside if someone else bids for Spurs.

Firehawk Holdings can make an offer soon

Meanwhile, The Times explain that Firehawk Holdings can still make a formal bid for a stake in Tottenham Hotspur within the next 28 days

The company has a social media platform, a financial services arm and a combat sports section.

However, the publication claims to have spoken to sources close to the Lewis family trust, who have reiterated that they have no intention of holding any negotiations regarding a takeover.
