Sidemen Charity Match star Angry Ginge was stripped of his I'm a Celebrity... crown soon after winning it

Angry Ginge won't get to show off his I'm a Celebrity... crown at the Sidemen Charity Match this weekend.

The social media influencer, whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle, emerged victorious in the ITV reality show in December after three weeks in the Australian camp. He attracted 65 per cent of the public vote in the final two, compared with 35 per cent for Celebs Go Dating receptionist Tom Read Wilson, who was the runner-up.

For winning the series, Angry Ginge received a floral crown and a wooden sceptre. However, if previous winners are anything to go by, it's unlikely he'll have been able to keep those items.

Previous winner Sam Thompson revealed how he was stripped of his prizes, telling ITV's This Morning: "I didn't get to keep anything. They wouldn't let me keep anything.

"I had to give the sceptre back. I really wanted to bring it through airport security because it's quite big. I don't have anything to show for it."

There is also no cash prize as a consolation as contestants are paid varying amounts depending on their celebrity status. Angry Ginge, for example, was reportedly paid £100,000 for his appearance, while other contestants have previously been paid as much as £1million.

The content creator insisted he didn't do it for the money or status. He said: "I didn't do it to become King. I did it for the experience."

Angry Ginge will join a host of other influencers when he takes part in the Sidemen Match on Saturday. He will be part of the YouTubers Allstars team taking on Sidemen FC at Wembley.

In a shake-up for this year's event, the Sidemen members are being split across the two teams for the first time, meaning the likes of KSI, Miniminter and Behzinga will be turning out for the YouTubers. Last year, the YouTubers won on penalties following a 9-9 draw.

There will be a couple of notable omissions from the 2025 event, which raised £4.7million for various charities, including Children in Need. Logan Paul and iShowSpeed will not be involved, as both are scheduled to appear at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas. The pair will team up with Austin Theory in a six-man tag match against The Usos and LA Knight.

Kick-off at Wembley is at 3pm UK time on Saturday. The action will be streamed for free on the Sidemen YouTube channel.
