Anthony Gordon is reportedly receptive to a summer departure from Newcastle, as Arsenal consider launching a significant transfer bid. The 25-year-old has been on the Gunners' radar for some time, with German heavyweights Bayern Munich also said to be circling.
Earlier this week, it emerged that Bayern are preparing a £55 million offer though Newcastle would hold out for considerably more for the England winger, who is keen to have his future settled ahead of the World Cup kicking off in June.
According to The Telegraph, while Gordon hasn't explicitly told Newcastle he wants out, those close to the situation suggest he will push for a transfer when the summer window opens. Arsenal have had Gordon on their radar for some time and could make a move in the summer.

Liverpool, meanwhile, could re-enter the picture having come close to securing Gordon's signature in 2024, shortly before he committed to a new long-term deal at St James' Park. Despite his roots at Everton's academy, it's suggested he wouldn't hesitate to join their Merseyside rivals.
The Newcastle hierarchy are bracing themselves for a flurry of bids once the window opens - and Gordon isn't the only one attracting attention. The likes of Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimaraes, Joelinton, Tino Livramento and Lewis Hall have all been linked with moves to fellow Premier League sides.
Tonali was the subject of a sensational winter deadline day claim that Arsenal were preparing a move for the Italian, reports that were quickly dismissed by the Magpies.
Newcastle lost star striker Alexander Isak to Liverpool last summer and they've suffered the consequences following a protracted transfer saga. Eddie Howe's side have tumbled to 14th in the standings with six matches left and appear unlikely to secure European football as they have done over the past three campaigns.
Gordon has remained a shining light for the Magpies, netting 17 goals and registering five assists. Ten of those strikes arrived in the Champions League, with the former Everton star demonstrating his credentials in Europe's premier competition.
Arsenal brought in three attackers last summer but may reshape their forward line yet again this year. Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard have each been touted to depart the Emirates to help finance fresh acquisitions.

Seat Unique provides hospitality packages for Arsenal's Champions League semi-final semi-final leg with Atlético Madrid on May 5, including 'premium' seats and complimentary food and drink.
Gordon isn't the sole forward on Arsenal's wishlist, though. The Gunners have been linked with Paris Saint-Germain star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and hold an interest in Atletico Madrid's Julian Alvarez in what could prove another substantial summer of investment.
Much may hinge on how this season concludes, with Liverpool in danger of failing to secure Champions League qualification. Arsenal and Bayern, conversely, could contest this year's final and claim their respective domestic league titles.
