Arne Slot gives Liverpool injury update of Arsenal - with fresh news on Mac Allister and Bradley

3 hours ago 34

Arne Slot has given an injury update on Liverpool duo Conor Bradley and Alexis Mac Allister ahead of Sunday's Premier League encounter against Arsenal.

The pair have been Liverpool's main injury concerns ahead of the top-of-the-table clash at Anfield this weekend, with Mac Allister picking up a knock in training last week, while Bradley is continuing his recovery from an injury sustained in pre-season.

That problem kept him out of the first two matches of the season, but he made a return against Newcastle United on Monday and played the final 10 minutes at St. James' Park. As for Bradley, he was not included in the squad that travelled to the north-east.

In their absences, Dominik Szoboszlai started at right-back, with Curtis Jones partnering Ryan Gravenberch in midfield.

But Slot could have extra options when choosing his starting XI against Arsenal after confirming the squad came through unscathed from the Newcastle encounter.

“The positive is that Conor Bradley, only had one or two training sessions before the Newcastle game and he has trained all this week," the Liverpool head coach explained.

"There are two days to go. Alexis has started training too.

"I don’t think we had any injuries coming out of the game. And Virgil is also okay, which is maybe the main thing you would question."
