Liverpool head coach Arne Slot says he wants his team to be exciting to watch as well as successful in terms of results, with some key attacking components missing at the moment

Arne Slot says he is working "every single day" to ensure that Liverpool is better to watch than it has been in recent matches against Leeds United and Fulham amid accusations that his team is 'boring'.
Having stopped the run of defeats and turned the tide with results, to an extent, Liverpool is now looking to get back to the kind of style that saw it win the Premier League title last season. Key absences in attacking areas have not helped the situation, but the Reds have looked short of an attacking spark, Florian Wirtz aside, in the last few weeks.
"Against Fulham, I don't think many people thought it was a joy to watch," Slot said. "But I've said many times that I found our games against PSG a joy to watch.

"People tell me we need the extra pass; the first goal against Fulham was only one pass. The second goal against Fulham was 17 passes we needed before we could bring the cross in.
"I find it really hard to hear [we're boring]. It is not that I disagree; I would use different words and I would take other things into account.

"I want to win as many trophies as I can but I think I am also known for trying to play attacking football. We are still trying to do so, but having a lot of ball possession doesn't mean you play attacking football.
"We are struggling to create a lot of chances but I have said many times we're not the only team that struggles.
"I don't think we are creating less than other teams who are doing well. But I don't like to hear [we're boring] because if there is one thing I would like, it is us winning a lot of games, but also us playing an attractive style of football.
"We have to find a way to play it against teams who try to make it not an attractive game. We have to find answers to that, and that is something we haven't found enough. We are working on this every single day to improve."

Alexander Isak is sidelined with a long-term injury at the moment while Mohamed Salah is at AFCON. Egypt will take on Ivory Coast on Saturday in the quarter-finals.
Hugo Ekitike, meanwhile, is a major doubt for the trip to Arsenal. The Frenchman is yet to train with Liverpool this week after he sat out the visit to Fulham and may not be ready in time for the game at the Emirates Stadium.
Liverpool.com says: While the Reds have not been the most exciting team to watch lately, the missing players are a mitigation to an extent. When more players are available, the attacking performances need to improve substantially.
