Arne Slot will speak to the media for the first time in 12 days this morning, when Liverpool welcomes the media to its Kirkby training base to preview this weekend’s Premier League encounter against Burnley.
A lot has happened in those 12 days since Dominik Szoboszlai’s free-kick settled the points against Arsenal. The most obvious is the record-breaking arrival of Alexander Isak from Newcastle United, which was confirmed at the beginning of September.
The striker’s whereabouts and future plans were the biggest talk point of the window, with Liverpool fans delighted to secure the services of the Sweden star. Despite playing over the international break, and training with his new team-mates on Wednesday, Isak is unlikely to be fit to start at Turf Moor on Sunday, but Slot will provide more details in today’s press conference.
Elsewhere, he may be asked about Marc Guehi following the deadline-day hitch that saw him remain at Crystal Palace. Slot could even give his verdict on the window now that it has shut.
As with any Premier League fixture, the latest team news, an opposition update and the head coach’s thoughts on the biggest talking points across the league should be anticipated.
Stay tuned to the Liverpool.com blog to hear what Slot has to say in his pre-match press conference.
