Arne Slot has come under scrutiny after Liverpool struggled against Tottenham, with critics urging the manager to “look at himself”.
Tottenham appeared destined for a seventh consecutive defeat in all competitions—and a fifth under Croatian manager Igor Tudor—after Dominik Szoboszlai’s 18th-minute free-kick put Liverpool ahead. Richarlison had been a constant threat throughout the match, troubling Liverpool keeper Alisson with several dangerous attempts before finally converting Randal Kolo Muani’s pass in the 90th minute to level the score.
The late equalizer was a harsh blow for Liverpool, who had looked set to climb back into the Premier League’s top four following defeats for Chelsea and Aston Villa. After the game, Slot reacted to the boos from fans after the full time whistle.

They could have even won it. Liverpool were so poor. Arne Slot has to have a look at himself. Tottenham looked a threat and caused problems, but fair play to Igor Tudor.
"I thought the gameplan was outstanding. If Liverpool play like this midweek, then they will be knocked out of the Champions League.”
Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher criticized his former club after the game, describing their display as “an awful performance.” He highlighted the Reds’ lack of intensity and cohesion, suggesting the team struggled in key areas and fell well short of the standards expected at Anfield.
"It was an awful performance" he said on Sky Sports. "No disrespect to Tottenham but they are the worst team in the Premier League now, probably for the last couple of months.

"They are exactly who you want to play, playing at home, the incentive of your results this weekend and to put in performance like that. But it's been like that all season.
"And the big question on everybody's lips is that down to the manager or the makeup of the squad? Could a new manager completely revitalise these type of players and bring that energy and sort of intensity back into this team? I'm not sure.
"I think a lot of it goes back to what happened in the summer, the profile of the players that came in and there's just too many players who just want to play when the ball's at their feet. They don't want to dig in and make it difficult. That's why it's so easy to play against this Liverpool team."
Slot acknowledged that Liverpool felt they had dropped two points after conceding the late equalizer, admitting the team’s frustration at failing to secure the win.
"Yeah of course, home game, being up for so many minutes, yeah of course, two points dropped," stated Slot on BBC's Match of the Day.
