Arne Slot has conceded that he anticipates Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones will be absent from Tuesday's Champions League quarterfinal second leg against Paris Saint-Germain at Anfield.
The England international was hauled off at the interval during Saturday's 2-0 victory over Fulham, with Ryan Gravenberch introduced as his replacement following a groin complaint. Strikes from Rio Ngumoha and Mohamed Salah sealed the three points for Slot's outfit, who claimed their first league victory since February.
Jones is now a significant doubt for the Champions League showdown with holders PSG, which leads 2-0 from the opening leg in France earlier this week.

"Someone, I am not sure who is responsible for that, but they say make sure there is something negative happening because it can never always be positive. So there must be an injury involved after a good win.
"And that is why I had to take him off. I would be surprised if he is available for Tuesday. The good thing was, he didn't feel it in the moment. He felt it coming."

The Champions League is Liverpool's last chance of winning silverware this season.
If the Reds fail to progress to the semifinals, their sole focus between now and the end of the campaign will be securing a top-five finish in the Premier League and a place in next season's Champions League.
Liverpool's 2-0 win against Fulham on Saturday leaves Slot's players in fifth, four points clear of Chelsea in sixth having played a game more.
Slot further commented on Jones: "He felt a little bit his groin. It wasn't the moment – he felt it already for a few minutes.
"So, let's hope for the best but I would be surprised if a player who comes off that he's available for Tuesday."
Regarding Alisson, who remains sidelined with a muscle complaint, Slot commented: "Tuesday, I don't expect him back. He's not training with the team yet.
"But he's working very hard on his recovery, so we hope to have him back in the near future.
"But he doesn't train with the team yet, so he will not be performing [on] Tuesday."
