As Arsenal and Manchester City continue to be locked in a tense Premier League title race, football.london takes a look at the predicted final tallies for the rivals

Data analysis from Opta has predicted Arsenal to pip Manchester City to the Premier League title. Last weekend saw Pep Guardiola get the better of his former assistant at the Etihad Stadium in a huge twist in the race to become champions.

It was another huge set back for Mikel Arteta's side, who are now firmly within reach of the Cityzens. Arsenal are still three points ahead, but Guardiola's team have a game in hand and a goal difference which is only one goal worse than the Gunners.

Nevertheless, there are still many games to be played and plenty of time for more things to happen. With that in mind, OPTA has analysed the upcoming games and made it's Premier League prediction.

Arsenal have been tipped to finish the Premier League campaign on 80 points. Given they currently have 70, with 15 more to play for, many would not expect this to be enough to end the 22-year title drought.

Ten more points would equate to three victories, a draw and a defeat from games against Newcastle United (home), Fulham (home), West Ham United (away), Burnley (home) and Crystal Palace (away).

Meanwhile, Guardiola's side have been tipped to slip-up in their title pursuit. OPTA believes City will finish the campaign on 78 points. Given they have six matches left to play and are currently on 67 points, this would be the equivalent of them winning three, drawing two and losing one.

City have to face Burnley (away), Everton (away), Brentford (home), Bournemouth (away), Crystal Palace (home) and Aston Villa (home). While taking these predictions into consideration, OPTA have given the Gunners a 72.04% chance of winning the Premier League, leaving City with a 27.96% chance of claiming the title.

Given the significance of the result and City's experience when it comes to the home stretch of a title race, many will have the Cityzens as their favourites. However, Arteta insists he still believes his team can lift the title.

The Spaniard said: "I believe today, I believe on Wednesday a week ago because I see them every day and I know the level that we have. But today if they need to be more convinced, I think they are now more convinced.

"They were talking about it in the dressing room. It's a new league now. They were a game in hand. We have three points of advantage and five games to play.

"So everything is still to play for. So we know how much we've won it and we're not going to stop and we're going to go again, that's for sure."
