With Eberechi Eze confirmed as Arsenal's seventh summer arrival, the priority for Andrea Berta until Monday, September 1 has to be on sanctioning some departures.
Following the confirmed arrival of Viktor Gyokeres in late July, it certainly looked as though no more new signings would be joining as it was clear sales would be needed to trim down Mikel Arteta's squad and help raise funds to offset spending which looks set to go beyond £250million.
Even prior to his arrival, Arsenal needed to agree a number of exits with four players on the fringes in contention to move elsewhere.
Oleksandr Zinchenko, Reiss Nelson, Fabio Vieira and Jakub Kiwior have all been the subject of concrete interest, but nothing looks imminent. The latter seems to be the only player that has been the recipient of a bid, but that £23.4m offer from Porto was turned down.
Nelson has been in talks to re-join Fulham on loan but their priorities have been elsewhere, which has seen that potential switch not reach advanced stages. Zinchenko, meanwhile, has been linked with moves to Germany, Italy and Portugal.
Vieira's future is the interesting topic with Bundesliga club Stuttgart having held discussions to sign him on loan with that deal including a buy-option. However, it looks as though he could even join a different German club.
"Fabio #Vieira is still one to watch until Deadline Day, as his departure from Arsenal is planned — possibly on loan," Sky Sport Germany's Florian Plettenberg wrote on X. "There are numerous enquiries. The 25-year-old can play as an attacking midfielder and on the wing. Let’s see if Bayern step in. A move to Stuttgart was not realistic recently."
Plettenberg's update suggests that a move to Stuttgart is unlikely with that perhaps coming as no surprise given their vastly different valuation compared to Arsenal. If Bayern do come to the table, that would be a dream scenario for Arsenal given the German champions' financial clout giving them the ability to strike a deal quickly.

Leandro Trossard was another player linked with an exit but a new contract being agreed for the Belgium international, likely an immediate response to Kai Havertz's injury, suggests he will be staying. Sambi Lokonga and Karl Hein are two others that were made available but are unlikely to generate huge funds.
According to the Mirror, Arsenal have an option of their own to extend his contract by a further 12 months in order to protect his value.
