Arsenal get massive title race boost as major Liverpool transfer collapses on deadline day

3 days ago 7

Arsenal have received a major boost in their hopes of winning the Premier League this season following the news that Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi is set to remain at Selhurst Park. The England defender's move to Liverpool has collapsed at the final hour on deadline day.

The Three Lions international had all but agreed to join Liverpool for a fee of £35m on deadline day.

But according to The Athletic, the 25-year-old will no longer be joining the current Premier League champions.

Oliver Glasner had been vocal in his wishes to keep hold of Guehi, with a potential replacement sounded out in Jaydee Canvot.

But despite Guehi agreeing on personal terms and completing part of a medical in London on Monday, the deal has now gone cold.

More to follow.
