Riccardo Calafiori and Piero Hincapie have both returned to Arsenal training with their teammates ahead of the clash with Manchester United. Sky Sports cameras spotted the pair at the Sobha Realty Training Centre.
Mikel Arteta is due to speak in his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon, and the boost of the pair being with the squad is significant.
Both have been missing for several weeks. Hincapie came off against Liverpool after lasting 57 minutes, and Arteta was hopeful it was not too serious.
Two weeks later, the former Bayer Leverkusen man is now back out on the grass. Myles Lewis-Skelly played well in Milan, but the return of Hincapie will certainly make minutes for the 19-year-old tougher.
Yet with Calafiori soon to be involved, it could be the Italian who takes back the left-back role in the coming weeks.
The former Bologna man has been out since suffering a problem in training. He was included in the matchday starting XI against Brighton but walked off during the warm-up and was replaced by Lewis-Skelly.
Arsenal face Kairat Almaty in the UEFA Champions League next week and it might be this game is targeted for a return of the pair to build up their fitness.
