Two late goals from Viktor Gyokeres and Max Dowman saw Arsenal take all three points from their Premier League clash with Everton, before eyes turned to Manchester City's game at West Ham
Arsenal took a major step towards the Premier League title, as the Gunners’ dramatic late win over Everton was followed on Saturday night by chasers Manchester City dropping points at relegation-battling West Ham.
Mikel Arteta’s side went into the game against the Toffees seven points ahead of their rivals at the top of the table.
The game at the Emirates Stadium looked set to end 0-0, which would have given City, who were in action later in the evening, a chance to close the gap to five points.
However, an 89th-minute goal from Viktor Gyokeres gave Arsenal a crucial lead. As they tried to see out the game in the 97th minute, teenager Max Dowman led a counter-attack, running almost the entire length of the pitch to make it 2-0 and become the Premier League’s youngest ever goalscorer.

The late goals saw Arsenal extend their lead at the top of the table to 10 points, but they knew that City were in action in the late kick-off against West Ham United at the London Stadium.
The Hammers, who need points in their own battle against the drop, were able to add to what turned out to be a very good day for Arsenal.
Following the game against Everton, Arteta admitted he would 'probably' be watching the City game.
City did take the lead, with Bernardo Silva scoring a cheeky chip in the 31st minute. However, that lead lasted just four minutes with former Arsenal man Konstantinos Mavropanos drawing West Ham level with his header from a corner – the Hammers' only shot of the match.
Despite City pushing for another goal throughout the rest of the game, Nuno Espirito Santo’s men were able to keep them at bay.
The full-time whistle was celebrated as much by Arsenal fans, and probably Arteta, as it was by West Ham. Pep Guardiola was forced to watch from the stands, having previously admitted the title race would be over if his side dropped points and the Gunners won this weekend.
The result means that the Gunners' lead has been extended to nine points, with just seven Premier League games of the season remaining.
Arsenal are not back in Premier League action until April 11, when they host Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium.
That is followed by a crucial clash against Man City at the Etihad Stadium just over a week later. A week before that game, City travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea on Sunday, April 12.
