Arsenal are top of the Premier League table and are reportedly looking to add a new member of staff to their recruitment staff
Arsenal are reportedly looking to add to their backroom staff with the appointment of one of Serie A's most prominent recruitment specialists.
The Gunners enjoyed a busy summer transfer window, which saw eight new signings arrive at the Emirates Stadium.
Mikel Arteta added Martin Zubimendi, Cristhian Mosquera, Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke, Eberechi Eze, Piero Hincapie, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga to his squad for the club's Premier League title challenge.
Sporting director Andrea Berta led the recruitment process that brought the new signings to Arsenal in the summer, having been appointed to the role following his exit from Atletico Madrid back in March.

According to a report in BBC Sport, Arsenal are looking to appoint Maurizio Micheli to join the club's recruitment team.
Micheli is currently the head of scouting at Serie A giants Napoli, and is said to be in "advanced talks" to take on a role with the Gunners and leave the reigning Italian champions.
The 57-year-old has enjoyed two spells at Napoli, having initially joined the club in 2010 and then left the club five years later before making a return in 2018.
Micheli is widely regarded as one of the most impressive scouts in Italy, having been credited with identifying Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Kim Min-jae and Marek Hamsik over the last few years at Napoli.

There is no word yet on what role Micheli would take on at Arsenal if an appointment were to be confirmed, with the Gunners reportedly closing in on bringing the transfer specialist to North London in the near future.
Arsenal may already have an eye on the January transfer window as they strive to win the Premier League title this season.
The Gunners have a four-point lead at the top of the Premier League table with the November international break now in full swing and a North London Derby against Tottenham Hotspur on the horizon.
