  1. Declan Rice: The influential midfielder is currently sidelined with a knee injury picked up against Brighton, which forced him to miss the recent victory over Aston Villa.
  2. When asked if the swelling on Rice's knee has gone down, Mikel Arteta said "Well, not yet, and we have another session today. Let's see how he comes today and how that's feeling, but it was too early that game for him."
  3. When questioned as to whether he regretted leaving Rice on the pitch against Brighton after the midfielder flagged his pain to medical staff, Arteta replied: "No, no, no. He managed to do it. That's normal sometimes. You get a hit, and throughout the game you are able with adrenaline, and because you are warm, you are able to sustain that." Expected to miss Bournemouth but may return for Liverpool clash on January 8.
  4. Riccardo Calafiori: The Italian defender is being assessed for a hip injury after reporting discomfort during a recent warm-up.
