Arsenal are looking like the favourites for the Premier League title after a strong start to the season. The Gunners have spent most of the campaign at the top of the table, aiming to put an end to over two decades of disappointment, near-misses and lingering what-ifs by finally winning the title again.
Their summer transfer outlay - exceeding £250million - delivered a surge of top-level recruits to the Emirates Stadium. Viktor Gyokeres, Eberechi Eze and Martin Zubimendi have each established themselves as key members of the starting line-up, quickly justifying their hefty price tags.
Additional arrivals such as Noni Madueke, Christian Norgaard, Cristhian Mosquera, Piero Hincapie and Kepa Arrizabalaga have strengthened the overall depth of the squad, providing Mikel Arteta with what may be the most balanced and dominant squad he has had during his Arsenal tenure.
However, that doesn't mean there is no room to introduce another marquee talent or two - either in January or during the next transfer window. With that in mind, these are the latest Arsenal-related headlines stories.
£75m-rated forward pursued
Arsenal are said to be considering a bid for Borussia Dortmund attacker Karim Adeyemi. The 23-year-old has evolved into one of the Bundesliga's standout offensive threats, producing 28 goal involvements across 56 matches.
Famed for his electric acceleration and danger on the break, Adeyemi has even drawn comparisons to a hybrid of Bukayo Saka and Noni Madueke. Unlike those two, though, the Germany star brings impressive positional versatility, able to feature on either wing and up top.
Dortmund reportedly value Adeyemi at roughly £75m, but with his deal running until 2027, negotiating that price down may be possible.
Saka's secret decision
Bukayo Saka has announced his engagement to long-term partner Tolami Benson. The 24-year-old shared the update online on Friday, posting a message that simply stated: "17.11.25," along with a stunning set of photos showing the pair celebrating, including a close-up of Tolami's ring.
Many of Saka's former and current colleagues filled the comments with well-wishes. Ex-Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang wrote: "Not (lil) chilli anymore. Congrats Chilli boy," while Gabriel Martinelli added several heart emojis.
The post also received likes from Eberechi Eze, Gabriel, Ivan Toney, Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard. The news comes after Saka proposed to his long-time girlfriend Benson during a night out in London.
Bukayo and Tolami have been together for five years. Their relationship became public during the 2022 World Cup, when Tolami was spotted with the other England WAGs in the stadium stands.
