We take a look at two of the latest stories involving Arsenal's transfer activity after Sunday's north London derby

As the smoke clears following Sunday afternoon's north London Derby against Tottenham, Arsenal shift their attention to a hectic week ahead.
There's no let-up for Mikel Arteta and his players as the Premier League leaders next face Bayern Munich in Wednesday's Champions League clash. That will be followed by another London derby at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Gunners boss and sporting director Andrea Berta will be keeping one eye on the transfer market, with just over a month remaining until the January window opens.
But unless there are significant injuries between now and then, Football.london understands Arsenal aren't currently plotting any major moves this winter. Instead, their focus will be on strategic planning for next summer’s window.
Now, we bring you two recent news stories that could shape how the north London side act in the upcoming transfer windows.
Gunners set for Antoine Semenyo blow
It was no secret that Arsenal were keen to bolster their left wing in the summer. Antoine Semenyo's stellar form over the past two seasons, coupled with his admission of being an Arsenal supporter, has seen the Gunners linked with the Bournemouth sensation in recent months.
Yet, it seems highly unlikely that Arsenal will secure a deal for the Ghana international, who reportedly has a £65million release clause in his contract. Despite the Gunners' adherence to PSR rules, they are thought to be treading a fine line with UEFA Squad Cost rules following their record-breaking summer splurge.
Therefore, unless there's a significant sale from their end, January is expected to be a relatively quiet month in terms of transfers at the Emirates. That’s especially the case given that Arteta’s side have made a strong start to the season, as well as the wealth of options available to the Spanish manager.
If Semenyo stays at the Vitality Stadium until the end of the campaign, when his release clause will decrease, Arsenal might reconsider their stance, especially if Gabriel Martinelli is offloaded. But the 25-year-old Bournemouth star is already being linked with several rivals, including Liverpool and Tottenham, which means bringing him to the Emirates Stadium could be a huge challenge.
Kenan Yildiz talks ongoing
Juventus' Kenan Yildiz is another player that Arteta greatly admires. Berta has been monitoring the Turkish international's situation in Turin, although this is standard practice as opposed to a significant development.
Yildiz, who can play as a left winger or central attacking midfielder, is still in contract talks with Juventus over a potential pay-rise, with the Serie A giants believing the 20-year-old deserves a more lucrative pay package.
Yet, their negotiations are still ongoing after several months, with a positive resolution yet to be reached. Juventus' sporting director Giorgio Chiellini has expressed that the club remains calm about the situation, given Yildiz's contract runs until June 2029.
Sources close to Yildiz have confirmed there has been informal contact from several Premier League clubs over the past six months to better understand the Turkish player's circumstances. However, even if Juventus fail to agree on a new deal with the player, the former Bayern Munich youth starlet is expected to command a high transfer fee.
Manchester United were among the clubs considering a move for Yildiz earlier this year, before ultimately signing Matheus Cunha in the summer. Chelsea and Real Madrid could also compete with Arsenal for his signature, given their interest in the player.
