ARSENAL 4-1 TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR: Gunners' player performances rated after Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium

Arsenal moved six points clear at the top of the Premier League after impressive victory in the North London Derby.

The Gunners took the lead through a brilliant finish from Leandro Trossard, following a dinked pass from Mikel Merino. Eberechi Eze then sent the stands into bedlam as he finished brilliantly against the side that he opted not to sign for.

Seconds after the whistle had gone for the second period, Eze had his second, firing a left-footed shot round Vicario. Richarlison then managed an excellent lobbed strike from near the half way line.

Eze would make the day entirely his however with his third goal, ending the contest and creating the best story of the Gunners’ season so far.

Here is how football.london rated the performances of the Arsenal players:

David Raya – Caught off his line by Richarlison, but the strike was perfect. Easily brought Xavi Simons’ effort from range into his clutches to restore some confidence. 6

Jurrien Timber – Such amazing close control and passing from the Dutchman, and forced the cross which led to Eze’s goal. Found the pass into Eze for the Gunners’ third goal on the night. 7

William Saliba – Had to be strong and stable throughout as the Frenchman worked without his typical defensive partner. Got into a couple scuffles with Richarlison but ultimately came out on top. 7

Piero Hincapie – Great diving header clearance from Odobert’s cross in the second half. Replacing Gabriel, the Ecuadorian did an excellent job all round. 7

Riccardo Calafiori – A tenacious game from the Italian who serviced Leandro Trossard excellently throughout. 7

Martin Zubimendi – Was orchestrating the midfield build-up perfectly and nearly found the net too, with a shot from the edge of the box which was blocked. However, he was punished for holding onto the ball far too long by Palhinha before Richarlison’s unbelievable strike. 6

Declan Rice – Had the early chance with a volley saved by Vicario at close range. Found the pass into Eze with a first touch again to disprove the theory this man doesn’t pass forwards. 8

Eberechi Eze – Lovely chip ball over for Rice in the opening stages of the game. Yet it would be his gorgeous strike that handed the Gunners control in the first half, great footwork before finding the space to wind back that right boot with the help of a Van de Ven deflection.

The second, however, on his weaker foot, was arguably better as he curled a strike around Vicario. Then came the hat-trick, a strike with his right boot, curling into the back of the net. 10

Bukayo Saka – Was a nightmare for Destiny Udogie and Rodrigo Bentancur who struggled to keep pace with the Arsenal winger. Struck a couple of free-kicks from the right to the far corner to test Vicario.

Forced the Italian into another save in the second half, curling a shot toward the far post from the right. 8

Mikel Merino – The perfect pass found to get the Belgian in behind, as Merino discovered a false nine style of play. The Spaniard might not be a centre-forward but again he delivered a strong display to help his team earn victory in a big game. 8

Leandro Trossard – It looked like the first touch had taken away the chance but the spin and finish with his left foot was sublime. He was excellent outside of the goal too, and no doubt his pressing, defensive work, and chance creation take him among the top scorers.

He then grabbed himself an assist, with the pass across for Eze’s third goal. 9
