The Arsenal team football.london predicted to start against Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League
Arsenal take on Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League this midweek, looking to secure a strong result in the first leg of the last-16. The Gunners have been handed a promising pathway in the tournament, with the draw putting them on the side of the bracket away from the current champions, Manchester City and other big favourites.
With four competitions still alive, for Mikel Arteta, getting his team selection spot on throughout the tournament is going to be key. The Premier League chase remains alive and Everton come to the Emirates at the weekend.
There was the chance to rest some players this weekend just past in the FA Cup, and there is an expectation many will return. Both Ben White and Martin Odegaard, however, are still yet to return and were missing from Tuesday’s open training session.

Here is who football.london is predicting to start against the Blues:
David Raya
The Spanish goalkeeper returns to the line-up after Kepa Arrizabalaga had another suspect strike beat him at Mansfield Town at the weekend.
Jurrien Timber
Afforded more than a half of rest with Marli Salmon making his first start for Arsenal during the weekend’s FA Cup fixture.
William Saliba
After missing the last two games, the Frenchman was spotted back in the training ahead of this game and will be expected to return with Mosquera having some struggles.
Gabriel
Another player rested over the weekend and at an important time considering the Brazilian missed so much of the run-in of last season through injury.
Piero Hincapie
Riccardo Calafiori was thankfully spotted in training ahead of this game but the Ecuadorian would have been the pick to start regardless.
Martin Zubimendi
A player, more than any other, needed a break, and he got it. After a dip in form, it will be most curious to see how this mini break has benefited him.
Declan Rice
Another who was rested and thankfully so for the England international too has seen a slight dip in form, assumed to be down to fatigue.
Eberechi Eze
There might be a time when Kai Havertz returns to this attacking midfield role, but for now Eze is in some good form at his favourite time of the season.
Bukayo Saka
Came on late at the weekend and after his massive goal at Brighton, however fortunate, this is the time when Arsenal truly need their talisman.
Viktor Gyokeres
The Swede was given the whole weekend off, and the side returns to Europe; this style of play might again be better suited to the striker.
Leandro Trossard
Came off against Mansfield in the first half but was back in training and it seems any issue suffered was indeed minor.
