Mikel Arteta faces the media ahead of his first Champions League match of the new season. Arsenal travel to Bilbao to face Athletic Club in Arteta's home nation of Spain and the Basque Country.
After the excellent victory over Nottingham Forest at the weekend, but the pain of seeing Liverpool snatch yet another late victory in the title race, the distraction of Europe may indeed be welcome. That being said, Manchester City arrive in north London at the weekend, and a tough trip to the continent is far from the best midweek interruption.
Arsenal have already faced the Basque side this year as they put three past them in pre-season, Martin Zubimendi combining with Viktor Gyokeres certainly the highlight. After both scored against Ange Postecoglou’s side this weekend, Arteta will hope the two new summer additions’ form will only get better.
