Mikel Arteta spoke to the press following his Arsenal side’s 2-1 win over Brighton. Another very close result which needed not be so close but a lack of finishing again proved a crux of the game.
Arteta made eight changes from the side which beat Crystal Palace and had to deal with Riccardo Calafiori coming off in the warm-up before the game. Martin Odegaard gave the Gunners the lead thanks to a great strike from outside the box.
An own goal from Georginio Rutter was cancelled out by Diego Gomez’s retort. Gabriel Martinelli should have put the game to bed in the final moments, seeing his shot rebound of Saka’s cross over the bar.
