Mikel Arteta faces the media ahead of his Arsenal side’s latest London derby and another meeting with Chelsea. Having already knocked the Blues out of the Carabao Cup at the semi-final stage, they will hope to record yet another good win over them.
Chelsea have not beaten Arsenal since August 2021, and Arteta knows this is one of the last big-club face-offs in the remaining 10 matches for his team as they chase the Premier League title. Liam Rosenior’s side’s draw at home to Burnley was damaging, however, with both Liverpool and Manchester United putting pressure on them in terms of Champions League qualification.
Regarding Europe, Arteta will likely give his reaction to the last-16 draw, which took place in the hours before the press conference. There is also hope for updates on Kai Havertz, who is fighting his way back to fitness after a rare midweek break from action.
