Arsenal press conference LIVE: Mikel Arteta on Declan Rice, Gabriel chaos and the title race

Mikel Arteta spoke to the press following his Arsenal side’s hard-fought win over Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium. The win moves them seven points clear of Manchester City before they play on Sunday.

Gabriel committed the cardinal sin in football of playing a blind ball across the face of goal and was deservedly punished with Evanilson gratefully scoring. However, the Brazilian smashed in a great strike to level the scores.

Declan Rice then put his side in front on his return to the side, finishing in a curled strike after being found by Martin Odegaard on the edge of the box. Junior Kroupi gave the home side late hope after a great strike from outside the box but it finished 3-2 to the Gunners.
