Arsenal press conference LIVE: Mikel Arteta on Spurs, Gabriel, six injured stars and more

3 weeks ago 8

Mikel Arteta faces the media ahead of Arsenal's massive Premier League showdown this weekend. The Gunners face their North London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, at the Emirates Stadium in a must-win game.

The international break has been dominated by the news of Gabriel Magalhaes suffering an injury while on international duty with Brazil. Arteta will hopefully provide more clarity on his situation and a reaction to how the whole scenario emerged.

There could be some positive updates, however, with several players pushing to return in time. Viktor Gyokeres, Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, Noni Madueke, Kai Havertz, and Gabriel Jesus are all working to make their returns from injury.

That said, Arteta can be coy ahead of certain games, and the derby is no exception. It is a big week for the club with matches with Bayern Munich and Chelsea to come.

The manager is expected to provide an update on the status of the players who are a concern and other key storylines. You can hear everything Arteta has to say on all that and much more from football.london's Arsenal reporter, Tom Canton , in our live blog below.
