Arsenal claimed a 2-1 win over Brighton in the Premier League to climb back above Manchester City in the table

Arsenal returned to the top of the Premier League table thanks to a win over Brighton. The Gunners claimed all three points thanks to a 2-0 victory over the Seagulls at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Martin Odegaard opened the scoring for Arsenal, with the home side doubling their advantage thanks to an own goal from Georginio Rutter.

Diego Gomez got a goal back for Brighton a few minutes later, but Arsenal managed to hold on for the victory and a much-needed three points for Mikel Arteta's side in the title race.

The win sees Arsenal climb back above Manchester City to the top of the Premier League table, with a 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest earlier in the day seeing Pep Guardiola's side move to the summit for a few hours.
