Arsenal failed to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table after letting a two-goal lead slip to Wolves at Molineux. Goals from Bukayo Saka and Piero Hincapie had put the visitors in cruise control, only for Hugo Bueno to pull one back before a Tom Edozie strike in added time brought Wolves level.

The Gunners had gone in front after just five minutes as Saka headed a Declan Rice cross through the legs of Jose Sa. The visitors had more chances in the first half but could not find a second.

After fighting off some pressure from Wolves, Hincapie looked to have doubled Arsenal's advantage, only for the flag to be raised for offside. VAR intervened, however, and confirmed the Arsenal defender was in an onside position and so the goal stood.

Bueno, who had played Hincapie onside, made amends moments later, as he curled home from the edge of the box to halve the deficit. Arsenal defended well for the remainder but that changed drastically when a miscommunication between Gabriel Magalhaes and David Raya allowed Edozie to fire in the loose ball.

Verdict: Arsenal's next three fixtures look set to be challenging as they visit Tottenham and Brighton in between hosting Chelsea.

Following on from an FA Cup fifth round tie away at Mansfield Town, the Gunners are back at Emirates Stadium to face Everton. The Carabao Cup final against Manchester City is last fixture before the March international break, with a clash against Bournemouth coming after that lengthy domestic pause.
