Arsenal look set for a huge Premier League title boost this weekend in the race with Manchester City and Aston Villa after beating Sunderland

Arsenal have strengthened their grip at the top of the Premier League with a 2-0 win over Sunderland at Emirates Stadium. A Martin Zubimendi stunner and Viktor Gyokeres brace helped move the Gunners up to 56 points.

The Spaniard opened the scoring with a powerful drive from the edge of the box before Gyokeres, six minutes after coming on for Gabriel Jesus, grabbed a second for the hosts with a fine finish even after slipping. The Swede doubled his tally in added time to make sure of the points.

The victory puts huge pressure on Manchester City before their trip to reigning champions Liverpool on Sunday. Aston Villa remain in third after their draw against Bournemouth, with the gap between themselves and Arsenal now up to nine points.

With all of that being said, football.london has compared all of the upcoming Premier League fixtures for the three teams at the top.

Arsenal's next five Premier League fixtures

Brentford (A) - February 12

Wolves (A) - February 18

Tottenham (A) - February 22

Chelsea (H) - March 1

Brighton (A) - March 4

Verdict: Only three league fixtures are on Arsenal's schedule for the remainder of the month, but they arrive in quick succession. The first of those comes next Thursday as the Gunners visit high-flying Brentford

An FA Cup fourth round tie arrives next weekend with a game against Wolves the following midweek. That clash at Molineux has been brought forward by one month due to Arsenal's participation in the Carabao Cup final.

A third consecutive away trip is then after that in the North London Derby against Tottenham, who will be without Cristian Romero due to suspension. Arsenal finally return to Emirates Stadium in early March with Chelsea as the visitors before then heading back out on the road to face Brighton.

Manchester City's next five Premier League fixtures

Liverpool (A) - February 8

Fulham (H) - February 11

Newcastle (H) - February 21

Leeds United (A) - February 28

Nottingham Forest (H) - March 4

Verdict: It is just one win league win since late December for Pep Guardiola's side and some challenging fixtures are on the way. The start of that run begins at Anfield on Sunday afternoon with a resurgent Liverpool looking for revenge after limping to defeat in the reverse fixture.

City then have back-to-back games at Etihad Stadium with Fulham and Newcastle United making the journey. City end February at Elland Road with Leeds United having only lost twice on home soil this season. Nottingham Forest are their first opponents of March.

Aston Villa's next five Premier League fixtures

Brighton (H) - February 11

Leeds United (H) - February 21

Wolves (A) - February 27

Chelsea (H) - March 4

Man United (A) - March 15

Verdict: Villa are clinging on to their spot in the title race, but could regain some momentum considering their upcoming games.

Over the next two weeks, Unai Emery's side welcome Brighton and Leeds United to Villa Park before making the short trip to local rivals Wolves. Maximum points will have to be the aim from those three matches as they Chelsea and Manchester United in March.
