Arsenal made it through to the Champions League semi-final following a 1-0 aggregate win over Sporting at the Emirates Stadium. It was a nervy night for the Gunners who drew 0-0 with the Portuguese outfit on home soil.

Kai Havertz's goal from the first leg proved to be the difference as Mikel Arteta's side kept their hopes of a Premier League and Champions League double alive.

The Gunners have suffered from a wobble in recent weeks, with several pundits now questioning their ability to win silverware.

Arsenal were beaten by Premier League title rivals Manchester City in the Carabao Cup Final last month, before being dumped out of the FA Cup by Championship side Southampton in the shock of the round.

The Gunners dropped points at home to Bournemouth, with the Cherries running out 2-1 winners in north London. Man City capitalised on the defeat, defeating Chelsea 3-0 at Stamford Bridge to close the gap to Arsenal.

Pep Guardiola's side are just six points behind the Gunners and have a game in hand in the race for the title. There's also the small matter of the two sides doing battle at the Etihad Stadium next time out, with the winner of that game likely to be the favourites to win the title.
