Arsenal's next six fixtures compared to Man City and Chelsea in Premier League title race

Arsenal have six huge fixtures coming up around the festive football period, which could see them progress in the Premier League, Champions League, and Carabao Cup.

The festive fixture period is now here, and for Arsenal, it represents an amazing opportunity to progress across three of their main competitions this season. In the Premier League, the Gunners are top of the league, having built a five-point gap over their nearest rivals, Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta's side have been the most consistent side so far, even with injuries impacting them, as they showed again in midweek. Arsenal welcomed Brentford to the Emirates Stadium in a third London derby in as many league games since returning from the international break.

Mikel Merino gave the side an early lead, but the crowd turned tense and nervous as the game dragged on without a second to add a cushion. That extra goal did come in the 91st minute, though, as Bukayo Saka found the back of the net to seal all three points at home.

Now, attention turns back to the next run of games, with matches in the Premier League, the Champions League, and the Carabao Cup all coming up. So, with that said, here's a look at Arsenal's next six games in all competitions compared to their title rivals.

Arsenal's next six fixtures

Aston Villa (A) - December 6 - Premier League.

Club Brugge (A) - December 10 - Champions League.

Wolves (H) - December 13 - Premier League.

Everton (A) - December 20 - Premier League.

Crystal Palace (H) - December 23 - Carabao Cup

Brighton (H) - December 27 - Premier League.

Arsenal will have a challenge on their hands over the next few weeks, with fixtures every three or four days awaiting them. Given their injury troubles, it won't be an easy period to navigate, but it could have huge consequences on their season aims, given who they face.

There is an opportunity to extend the lead at the top of the Premier League with the fixtures ahead. Meanwhile, they will be keen to rotate in the Champions League while still aiming for a win. The Carabao Cup also opens up an opportunity to reach the semi-final, but it won't be an easy game.

In all, Arsenal face a huge task to overcome the fixture congestion, but if they get out the other side with a relatively fit squad and some positive results, then they will be in a great position.
