Everything you need to know as Arsenal star runs the risk of a one-match Premier League suspension headed into the Gunners' clash with Brentford...

  • Arsenal to face Brentford: Arsenal are set to play host to Brentford on Wednesday night at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League. The encounter kicks off at 7.30pm.
  • The Gunners hold a five-point advantage: Mikel Arteta's side head into the clash with a five-point lead on Manchester City at the top of the Premier League standings. With nine wins and three draws, they have tasted defeat just once this season. Their last Premier League title came in 2003/04 during Arsene Wenger's flawless 'Invincibles' campaign.
  • Riccardo Calafiori at risk of suspension: As a result of picking up yellow cards against Manchester United, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United and Chelsea, Riccardo Calafiori heads into Wednesday's fixture on a tightrope. As a result of the FA's rules, one more yellow will see him sit out a match for the Premier League leaders.
  • What the rules say: As per the FA's disciplinary rules, any player who racks up five yellow cards in the season's first 19 matches will face a one-match ban. These bans must be served in the Premier League and do not carry over to the EFL Cup or FA Cup.
  • The match Calafiori could miss: Should Calafiori pick up another yellow card against Brentford, he will miss Arsenal's game against Aston Villa come Saturday, December 6.
  • Martin Zubimendi also cutting it close: The Spanish CDM has picked up yellows against Liverpool, Sunderland and Chelsea this season. As a result, two more yellows will cause him to miss a match for his club.
  • Other players close to suspension: Viktor Gyokeres, Jurrien Timber and Myles Lewis-Skelly each have two yellows this season.
  • Arsenal injury news: Mikel Arteta has a number of injuries to navigate headed into Wednesday's game with Brentford. William Saliba, Gabriel, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus could all miss the match, while Leandro Trossard is touch and go. Read the full story here.
  • Arsenal's next five games: Arsenal face Brentford on Wednesday before taking on Aston Villa on Saturday. The club then face Club Brugge in the Champions League, before returning to the English top flight to take on Wolves and Everton respectively.
