Arsenal's summer transfer window has been hugely successful, so far, as the Gunners have shown faith in their manager Mikel Arteta in the market.
From Martin Zubimendi to Viktor Gyokeres, the Gunners have opened the cheque book to try and bring in the quality needed to bring the Premier League back to north London. Reports have suggested that Arsenal remain interested in adding to their squad with Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze thought to be high up on their list.
However, if Arsenal are unable to get that deal over the line, they will need an alternative. In football.london's latest look at the transfer rumours, it appears one other name remains at the forefront of Arsenal's mind;
Arsenal 'target' Rodrygo transfer
According to Caught Offside, Arsenal would be keen on moving for Real Madrid winger Rodrygo this summer if they are unable to complete a deal for Eze. It is thought the Brazilian could leave the La Liga giants this summer and Arsenal want to capitalise if he does.
However, they would face competition from Liverpool. They are said to also be eyeing up Rodrygo should a move for Alexander Isak fall through on Merseyside.
football.london says: There is no doubting that Eze, or Rodrygo, would add a different dimension to the side this season. Arsenal's approach for Eze, or Rodyrgo for that matter, will deeply depend on the Gunners selling players who are no longer in their plans. Among those to be linked with the exit door or Leandro Trossard and a player that Jose Mourinho is thought to be keen on - Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Mourinho 'launches' Zinchenko plan
According to reports in Turkey, relayed by The Sun, Mourinho is making his play to bring Zinchenko to Fenerbahce this summer. It is claimed that in a bid to entice the Ukrainian to Turkey, the Portuguese head coach is setting out a new plan for his role in the starting XI.
It is said that Mourinho sees Zinchenko's role as being more advanced in Turkey rather than the left-back position he finds himself in at Arsenal.
What FL says: Zinchenko is one of those players who always gives his all - no matter what job is asked of him on the pitch. While it may seem like he has been around forever, Zinchenko is still only 28 and could adapt to a new role. We would not recommend moving Zinchenko into a winger role but if a position in central midfield opens up, that could be a good fit for him moving forward.
