Arsenal are set to complete two deals before the January window closes with plans also in motion for the summer
Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta appears poised to finalise two contrasting January transfers in the coming days. The Gunners have experienced a relatively quiet winter window thus far, with any potential arrivals likely to be balanced by departures.
As injury concerns subside, Mikel Arteta is moving closer to having his complete squad available, which is anticipated to leave fringe players with fewer opportunities. Ethan Nwaneri falls into this category, with loan approaches from West Ham United and Bournemouth being rejected, though an ideal solution appears to have emerged.
Oleksandr Zinchenko represents one Arsenal player currently away from the club on a temporary arrangement, but this situation looks likely to alter following a frank admission from Nottingham Forest manager Sean Dyche and interest from another club.
Regarding new signings, it appears the primary emphasis remains on the summer window, with Berta already formulating strategies. The Gunners possess depth in most areas, though this could shift depending on departures.

Acquiring promising youngsters for the future has become increasingly prevalent in north London, as demonstrated by the deal for Ecuadorian twins Edwin and Holger Quintero. Another talented teenager has now caught Arsenal's attention, though he represents a far more recognised prospect given his Real Madrid contract.
With all of that being said, football.london has taken a closer look at the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours as two weeks of the January window remain.
£44m Real Madrid star on Arsenal 'radar'
With long-term defensive targets Marc Guehi and Jeremy Jacquet heading elsewhere, Arsenal are not currently pursuing anything in this window. That is what The Athletic have claimed with the latter likely to join Chelsea and Manchester City having announced Guehi's arrival from Crystal Palace.
However, Real Madrid's Victor Valdepenas has been named in their report as someone that could feature on their summer radar.
The 19-year-old made his debut for Real last month and is highly rated by the Spanish giants which could make signing him very difficult.
It has been claimed a €50million (£44m) release clause is in the fresh terms he signed recently with that contract expiring in 2029.
Nwaneri to arrive in Marseille today
Marseille have agreed to sign Ethan Nwaneri on loan from Arsenal for the remainder of the season. It has emerged that the French club was selected as the best possible move for the Gunners' attacking midfielder with Roberto De Zerbi's style a big factor.
The temporary switch has moved quickly with Foot Mercato claiming that Nwaneri is expected to be in Marseille to finalise his move today.
He will join up with Mason Greenwood and Matt O'Riley, who was born in England and is on loan from Brighton.
Zinchenko to Ajax
Dutch powerhouse Ajax are poised to secure Oleksandr Zinchenko on a permanent transfer following the completion of his temporary stint at Nottingham Forest. What began as a proposed loan arrangement has now evolved into Ajax stumping up a modest transfer fee.
The Ukraine international has featured in merely five matches since Dyche's appointment, with only a single Premier League start to his name.
While his medical examination has been postponed, there remains confidence that the move will be finalised before the transfer window shuts.
