Arsenal returned to winning form with a commanding away triumph over Leeds United. Set pieces proved decisive for Mikel Arteta's side, who have leaned heavily on their dead-ball expertise to navigate challenging fixtures.

Summer acquisition Martin Zubimendi added another headed goal to his tally, whilst Leeds goalkeeper Karl Darlow inadvertently contributed an own goal for the Gunners' second. Viktor Gyokeres and Gabriel Jesus both found the net after the interval to seal all three points.

Whilst attention remains fixed on the four competitions Arsenal are pursuing, the transfer window continues to loom large. Whether it's the final days of the January market or preparations for the summer, Arsenal are still weighing up potential arrivals and departures.

We take a look at the latest news and rumours.

Decision made

Dutch giants Ajax have reportedly concluded that a move for Arsenal midfielder Christian Norgaard is "unattainable". The former Brentford captain has managed just three Premier League outings since his switch last summer.

He has been the subject of numerous transfer links away from the club. However, Ajax, who are actively seeking midfield reinforcements, do not believe they can persuade Norgaard to make the move, according to Dutch outlet Voetbal Primeur.

Norgaard remains highly rated by Arteta, evidenced by his selection to address the media ahead of Arsenal's final Champions League fixture against Kairat Almaty at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal defender set for new club unveiling

Arsenal full-back is anticipated to be officially presented at Ajax within days. The Ukraine international spent the opening half of the campaign on loan at Nottingham Forest, where matters failed to materialise as hoped.

Following the premature termination of his loan arrangement, Zinchenko is now heading to Amsterdam to link up with the Eredivisie outfit. Voetbal Primeur have reported that Fred Grim's side will unveil him imminently.

The move will also conclude Zinchenko's decade-long stint in British football, which began when he departed Russian club Ufa for Manchester City in 2016.

£87m transfer mooted

Arsenal would need to fork out approximately £87m if they pursued Real Madrid midfielder Arda Guler. Spanish publication Fichajes has suggested the Gunners are weighing up a potential swoop for the promising Turkish talent.

Nevertheless, this speculation should be treated with caution. It seems improbable that Arsenal would splash out nearly £100m on a single player this summer, particularly given the substantial investment they've already made in attacking reinforcements.

The club have already committed over £100m to secure Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke this summer, whilst also boasting Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus amongst their attacking options.
