Arsenal could be tempted to dip into the market as the January transfer window bursts wide open, with hopes of reinforcing to secure their first Premier League title in more than two decades
Arsenal may look to bolster their ranks in the January transfer window, as Mikel Arteta hinted at potential signings if their injury woes persist.
With several players currently sidelined, Arteta is keen to ensure his squad remains robust for the latter part of the season. Consequently, the Gunners have been linked with various players should they decide to splash out in the market.
On the field, Arsenal are set to face Liverpool in the Premier League on Thursday. They've secured five consecutive top-flight victories since their December loss to Aston Villa and currently sit six points clear at the top of the table.
Here's the latest transfer news from the Emirates Stadium....
Diomande fee
Arsenal have set their sights on Yan Diomande for a possible summer transfer.
The 19-year-old forward has been turning heads in the Bundesliga this season and is expected to leave RB Leipzig when the campaign concludes.
However, The Athletic reports that securing Diomande's services this summer could require a hefty £86million.
Leipzig are not planning to let the Ivory Coast international depart in the January transfer window, and it would take a substantial offer to persuade them to consider a summer sale, given he has a contract until 2030.
Diomande made the switch to Leipzig in a £17.3million deal from Leganes last July and has since been making waves in the German top-flight, netting six goals and providing three assists in 14 outings this season.
He's currently one of Europe's hottest young prospects, with Manchester United and Tottenham also reportedly interested.
Wonderkid in sight
According to The Sun, Arsenal are keen on securing a deal for Blackburn Rovers' young forward Igor Tyjon.
The 17-year-old has been on the Gunners' radar for a while, including during the summer, but they're now ready to seal the deal in the January window.
Tyjon, who has made three senior appearances for Blackburn, has turned down a professional contract from the Championship side.
While no fee has been agreed yet, it's certainly a transfer story to keep an eye on this month.
