Arsenal take on Sunderland in the Premier League as the Gunners look to go nine points clear at the top of the table. Manchester City do not feature until Sunday when they must go to Anfield to take on Liverpool.
Despite losing Mikel Merino for the majority of the rest of the season, Jurrien Timber, who was absent from the open training session on Thursday, is fine, according to Mikel Arteta. Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard, however, are expected to miss the clash.
As is former Gunners midfielder Granit Xhaka, who is injured and whose absence will be a massive blow for Regis Le Bris. The Swiss international has arguably been the signing of the summer and will make improving on an already dire away record much more challenging for the Black Cats.
