Atalanta have told Ademola Lookman’s suitors how much they need to pay to sign the forward before the 7 pm transfer deadline.
Tottenham are expected to soon announce the signing of Randal Kolo Muani on loan, but with time running out, it does not seem like any other player is expected to walk through the door at Hotspur Way today.
According to reports, Spurs continued looking at various centre-backs and wingers through deadline day, but it appears that they have not pushed ahead with offers for any of those players.
On Sunday, it was widely reported that Tottenham had made contact over a deal for Lookman, and some sources also claimed that Lookman was keen on completing a move to Spurs.
Tottenham would have to spend big to complete an unlikely Ademola Lookman deal
It has now emerged that Atalanta have said that it would take an offer of €55m (£47.5m) to prise the 27-year-old away from Bergamo in the dying stages of the transfer window.
This information is being reported by Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, who says that Galatasaray have been quoted that price when they reached out to Lookman and Atalanta over recent hours.
Sabuncuoglu adds that the Istanbul club are aiming for ‘a strategic move’, similar to their signing of Victor Osimhen, which indicates that they are exploring a loan move for Lookman.

Tottenham’s pursuit of Lookman was likely over the moment they signed Randal Kolo Muani
Lookman is not an out-and-out winger, but one could understand why Tottenham were looking at him, given that Xavi Simons is also capable of playing on the left.
However, the moment the club decided to sign Randal Kolo Muani, there was not enough space in the Tottenham squad for Lookman.
Kolo Muani, like Richarlison and Mathys Tel, is a striker but can also play on the left, which means that Spurs already have too many players similar to the Nigerian international’s profile.
The player who would have been the perfect fit for Spurs is Savinho, who Man City decided not to sell.
