PSG have built a deep squad that has pushed them to a treble last season. However, one player may be considering a move amid reported interest from clubs abroad.

Under Luis Enrique, PSG have relied on that depth to capture consecutive Ligue 1 titles, the Coupe de France, the UEFA Champions League, and the UEFA Super Cup, rotating heavily to keep players fresh across multiple competitions.

Nonetheless, there will be clubs looking to lure depth players away from the French capital, with the potential promise of a bigger role. The latest name in the transfer rumor mill is one that was there during the summer window last year.

Could Kang-in Lee Return to Spain?

As revealed by AS and confirmed on Jan. 17 by L’Equipe (h/t Le10Sport), Atlético de Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Kang-In Lee this January.

According to the Spanish outlet, the Colchoneros would even be willing to offer €40 million for PSG’s No. 19, who would not be opposed to leaving to seek more playing time elsewhere. Moreover, he would return to a league he knows, having played for RCD Mallorca.

However, as L’Equipe notes, Luis Enrique is clearly opposed to Lee leaving. Last summer, the Spanish coach had already opposed his departure, stating that he was an important member of his squad. And this January, the PSG coach’s stance has not changed.
