PSG may set its sights on another Barcelona player as it aims to build on last season’s historic treble and reinforce its standing as Europe’s top club. A new addition from the Catalan side could be coming soon.
The French club has consistently shown interest in Barcelona talent, a strategy that has brought several players from the club to Paris over the years.
Recent signings Arnau Tenas and Ousmane Dembele have continued that trend, joining a squad that already includes Neymar Jr., Lionel Messi, and Xavi Simons. However, one Barcelona player seems unlikely to make the same move.
PSG Could Miss Out on Barcelona Standout

SPORT reports that Eric Garcia is stepping away from a potential move to PSG. He is close to finalizing a contract extension with Barcelona through June 2029, with an option for an additional year.
The same outlet previously reported that the French club are keeping a close eye on Garcia’s situation. Garcia’s current deal expires at the end of the season, which means PSG would be free to begin direct talks with him in January.

However, SPORT reports that Barcelona coach Hansi Flick remains intent on keeping him. Despite outside interest, Garcia has already decided to stay and sign an extension with the Spanish club.
This latest information follows TBR Football’s Graeme Bailey reporting that Garcia has already agreed to the new deal with Barcelona, putting an end to speculation about a transfer. Tottenham and Chelsea had shown interest in the defender, but were informed he is no longer available.
Meanwhile, PSG could be turning its attention to another Barcelona player. Mundo Deportivo recently noted that the French club are targeting teenager Juan Hernández, one of FC Barcelona Atlético’s brightest young prospects.
