Barcelona's official team bus was ambushed in London on Tuesday evening, as it made its way to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea played host to the La Liga giants in a Champions League clash, however, the scenes turned ugly on the streets of the capital ahead of kick-off. Staff were forced to patch up a shattered window, while 'shaken' players were rushed to Gatwick Airport straight after the match.
As a result of the incident, police have launched an investigation after racing to the scene. Chelsea enjoyed a 3-0 win over Barcelona on home turf on Tuesday night.
Jules Kounde found the back of his own net while trying to clear a pinpoint cross into a dangerous area from Marc Cucurella in the first-half to give the hosts the lead. Matters went from bad to worse for the Catalan side when skipper, Ronald Araujo, was sent off a minute before the break.
The Uruguayan received an initial yellow for seemingly venting his frustration towards referee, Slavko Vincic, before receiving his second later in the half as a result of clattering a breaking Cucurella, who was bursting with pace down the left. Brazilian wonderkid, Estevao, doubled Chelsea's lead shortly after the break, before Liam Delap put the game to bed in the 73rd minute.
